Spain's David de la Fuente gave FUJI-SERVETTO their second victory of the 2009 season, after a sensational finishing rush towards the line on top of the Santuario del Puy, the last climb of the GP Miguel Indurain (UCI 2.HC), ridden over a hard 199-km route around the good old town of Estella in northern Spain. El Puy was the main point of attention in a race that saw the rider from Cantabria shift the expectations by clearly beating Alexandr Kolobnev (Saxo Bank) and 2008 winner Fabian Wegmann (Milram).
